This superb illustration of all of the cult 80s cartoon classics is a belter. The illustrator is Kaare Andrews and he's got some really fantastic work. Check out his cover work too. I'm sure Cav will like it. posted at 2:39 PM by Carlton Your comments... 2

Sam Gilbey has revamped his portfolio: Personal Space Invaders. All css and xhtml loveliness this is a great example of how a portfolio site should be. Now I think I need to go and redesign mine pretty soon. posted at 7:57 AM by Carlton Your comments... 0

Crikey, it seems that Adobe is to acquire Macromedia. Wow! That makes Adobe super powerful in the creative software field, but will they continue to produce cutting-edge programs if they've got no serious competition any more? posted at 9:05 AM by Carlton Your comments... 0

In my inbox today is Ian Simmons portfolio. His work is mainly in the Fantasy genre but has many examples of other styles to boot. Good linework if a bit 'busty' for some! ;-)

Spotted Martin Wittfooth's work on Drawn and had to nick the link. In the comments someones pointed out a similarity to Preshaa - which I can kind of see, but I think Martin is more of a fantasy illustrator. Both top notch anyway. And while I'm lifting a link from Drawn, here's another for good measure: Phil Noto, who is very similar in style to .net's latest cover artist Gez Fry. You'll need to ferret around on Folio to find Gez's work - no direct link sorry. posted at 8:34 AM by Carlton Your comments... 0

Frank Miller's Sin City is about to appear on the big screen, you can view the trailer on Apple's site. Never before have I seen a comic conversion film stick so faithfully to the art and atmosphere of the original comic. Bruce Willis plays the lead but it is Mickey Rourke that plays Marv that has undergone the biggest transformation. I just hope the plot matches the production value. The official site is a bit decent too. posted at 9:28 PM by Carlton Your comments... 0
