It didn't hit us but its caused quite a cuffuffle in the astronomy world. We seem to be hearing about a lot of near misses recently. However this one nearly got the President out of bed (and we can't have that now can we).

Its a sad day - Les Gray, lead singer of Mud, has died. Their song 'Tiger feet' got me through the seventies.

I, sadly, sat up until half twelve last night to see who was the top selling singles artist. There were a few shocks - I thought the Bee Gees would have been higher and there was no sign of Prince or John Lennon in the top 50. However the biggest shock was for the top spot - Cliff tops all-time singles chart. I urge Parlophone to dig out another lost Beatles tape immediately and release it as a single.

The lengths some artists go to to make their work different often astound me. However preposterous you may think art out of bubblegum is, you've got to bow down to the genius that is... Gum Blondes. Groovy site too. Its also worth noting that the artist, Jason Kronenwald, prefers not to chew the gum unless he has to.

Check out the vector illustrations in Flash at Juniatwork. Very high-fashion style with obligatory shots of scantily clad ladies. Nice combination!

I've been hard at work on the latest .net so haven't been able to make many posts. However I got a calling card from this guy - Sean Macfarlane illustration - through the post. Yes, snail mail works! Good stuff in Sean's portfolio, all topped off with a nice twist.
