The BBC is holding a vote for the best Cult Onscreen Boffin. Dana Scully is one of the candidates. Though it has to be said that I think the copy writer got a bit carried away with his Headline: "Will you put an X in Scully's box when it's time to vote?". Much as I'd love to (however being married makes this impossible/suicidal), I reckon Beaker and Dr. Honeydew will win hands down. Click here for the full list.

Scully? Beaker? Surely you should all be voting for The Doctor? He's a 1,000 year old Time Lord for heaven's sake! He can rewire Daleks at a moments notice and is always reversing the polarity of the neutron flow.

Come on, vote the Doctor you know it makes sense...

Yes, but the Doctor always royally fecks things up. That's why he ends up on the wrong planet at the wrong time. Beaker is Beaker and no-one can beat him. Memememememe.

OK, so the Doctor's a bit hopeless at times but when was the last time Beaker and Bunker actually got an experiment right hmmm?

Perhaps we should compromise and vote for 'Q' instead. Keep the British end up and all that!

Indeed Q is worthy, but the child in me still insists on voting for Beaker.
