World Poker Tour mag: Issue 14

Hoyt Corkins is this months cover star. He's another of the stars we managed to bag whilst in Vegas before Christmas. Also on the cover you can see Joe Hachem making an appearance. He won $2 million while we were at the Bellagio, not bad going huh?

Lenny Henry Red Nose Day illustration

I've produced an illustration of one of the main Red Nose Day presenters, Lenny Henry. I've printed this out as an A2 poster. I'll be listing it on ebay next week but I wanted to let people know about it beforehand. I'll post a link to the auction once it goes live. At the moment it is in the hands of his agent so that I can get it signed by the good man himself. I'll also be listing an auction in which I'll be offering custom illustrations in the same style to whoever wants one. So if you've got a photo of a favourite loved one, fluffy pet, or jar of pickles that you want translated into the medium of large dots on photo-quality paper, get bidding! After all, it's all for charity.

Online image editing

It looks like Adobe are moving into the field of web based apps. Well actually they already have! But the idea that they will eventually be rolling out a web-based Photoshop-lite product is pretty big news in my book. Partnering initially with Photobucket will open the brand to a whole new market. I'm betting that B3ta will see a rise in input of shockingly awful newbie posts. Heh!
I'm all for web apps, but I hate when they are only PC friendly. I know that you can use Boot Camp these days, but I really don't want the hassle of maintaining a Vista or XP virus-attracting environment. Sorry, I've just made myself feel sick.

Superoboturbo go

I've just started dipping my toe into illustrationmundo (not sure why I've not done this before). I quite like the random option you can click in the illustrator database. Here's the first fruit of my meanderings on the site, Superoboturbo. The site is the portfolio of Jordy van den Nieuwendijk who is based in the Netherlands. Great vectors! It helps that anything robot related usually gets my attention, baaaaaa.
