I've just updated the portfolio section of this site to include some recent work.
This is just a quick image I mashed together for one of the mags main news items. It was to support a piece about potential poker business acquisitions due to the recent turmoil caused by US legislation.
The biro is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary and the beeb gives you its history. Nice to see that Jon Burgerman gets a great mention (you'll need to read right to the bottom of the page).
Not long ago I got the book Loads More Lies to Tell Small Kids as a present. It's great fun, well drawn, with plenty of great insights into what its like to be a parent. I found myself immediately giving my sons slightly untrue answers to their persistent questions after reading this. They swallowed them up wholesale! The author Andy Riley gets top marks.

I found this community of student artists on myspace and swiftly "added" them. The founders are people I've been aware of for a while and the project seemed like a pretty fine idea. They are Tom Judd and James Chambers. Tom is an illustrator/animator whom I've seen in various places including Computer Arts - in fact he seems so familiar I've got a feeling I may have used him at some time. James is

Sean Rodwell has updated his already impressive portfolio with a sack full of artwork. He's put up some of the artwork he did for me on .net. There's plenty of his bubble style illustrations like this butterfly (see thumbnail left). Great site. illustration

BenFrostisdead is a great collection of paintings by Ben Frost. His paintings feature a lot of cutesy icons in not-so-cuddly poses and situations. Anyone who can put Miffy in an image with a roaring tiger and a couple of whip wielding domanatrixes (sp?) whilst the whole scene is liberally sprinkled with rubber spiders has got my vote. What I'm voting for has yet to be decided, but it gets my vote anyway.
