Poker time

I've been neglecting to plug my new job for a while now. I've been totally immersed in the world of poker for three issues now and about to go to print on my fourth - time is flying. The issue on sale at the moment has a great cover story which shares some great anecdotes from the top dealers on the circuit. The mag features the best photography on the WPT scene - ably supplied by Joe Giron. Joe usually takes portraits of top music acts like Linkin Park or System of a Down, so he's brought a real sense of visual quality to the poker world. I'm still featuring some great illustrators, but not as many as I used to, as this mag is more photographically oriented. In this issue you'll find illos from Anthony Robinson, Miles Cole, James Starr, and David Lyttleton. The cover image you see here was shot at Walcot Studio in Bath, by Paul O'Connor. Russell Wiltshire, our model for the day, was supplied by Gingersnap - it was a great session and we bagged a hat full of shots.
